MAJKEN
Artist Majken observes the phenomena of memoryand everyday culture. She explores photographic activity used for identitymanagement – past and present –, the understanding of privacy, and the humanstriving for individual boundaries, control, and perfection. Based on herfindings, she seeks answers in her work to humanity's great question: Who do Iwant to be? – and in doing so, explores the limits of what can be controlled.
Majken works with analogue photo accidents fromprivate albums, stages herself in public spaces, and uses digital tools tocaricature photographic practice in a social media context. She also createsmodel miniatures, also to enable the play with different scales.
She gained recognition in 2004 as the initiator,author, and photographer of the book and exhibition project "Fence Worlds.Fences and Contemporary Witnesses. Stories of Everyday Culture in theGDR."

10 th A N N I V E R S A R Y P I C T U R E
CIRCULAR MOTION - Acryl on canvas - 202x250cm
The10th anniversary picture of the 5th DIMENSION symbolises the completion of a live performance improvisation project originated in 2014 in Berlin.
Patrick Herzig, painter, Gerhard Gschlössl and Marc Schmolling, two of Berlin's best jazz musicians, got together with the idea of welcoming the audience into their creativity realm during long time improvisations sessions.
Every year the band would meet and perform, leaving a series of eleven big size paintings as the visible traces of the improvised music.
The last one of the series, Circular Motion, was created on November 12th 2024 at the Kühlspot Social Club in Berlin, after a 3 hour session.
The performance was filmed and recorded and below, you can watch a 56 second video of the making of.

ALMUTH KRISKO
Since 2021, my artistic work includes, among other things, rather discreet motifs, but for me very beautiful, from nature, such as a flowering blade of grass, a small birch branch, a branch with fruit... I also create still life cups, bowls, bottles.
Overall, simplicity of patterns and designs is important to me. I draw with pencil or ink on small format paper of different colors. I also exhibit larger, more experimental works, such as monotypes, collages, drawings, works on wood and paintings from recent years.
My family, the preoccupation with death and the affectionate portrait of the people who accompanied my life are also familiar subjects.
L’ATELIER has the pleasure to invite two Berlin based artists, CHRISTOPH KÜHL, painter, and THOBIAS GOLDE, sculptor. The two long time friends and neighbours will exhibit some of their recent and older works showing their own personal perception of the World. The links between representation and abstraction are particularly important for both artists as the expression of their understanding of the evolving context in which they both grew up and, later, tried to find their own way through life and art.

ANDREA BRONDER
Andrea, who lives in Berlin-Weißensee, createsabstract works of art, including 3D effects, that show a remarkable, casualelegance.
Andrea only recently rediscovered the path tocreativity, to self-knowledge, shortly before the loss of her beloved husband.Since then, it has been a rapid journey for her, which the viewer can feelthrough the emotional movement in the works that brings him into connectionwith his own emotionality.

LARA MONICA COSTA
Lara Monica Costa was born in the province of Padova in 1987.
In2013, she completes her university studies and obtains her diploma in Visual arts - Performing arts - Graphic arts at the Venice Academy of fine arts. She is a member of the National Association of Contemporary Engravers. She is regularly involved in events and exhibitions, both national and international.
« My artistic and personal research aims at expressing the notion of union between the dualism given by the polarities Black - White, Anima - Animus, Masculine and Feminine, created using engraving, drawing, painting and photography techniques. »
« My center of interest is the archetype of generation and women, evocative of the element « water», signifying transformation, life, humidity and fertility. »

D A N I E L P A R A S A U D I "E M E T E U R"
DANIEL PARASAUDI "EMETEUR" is a young artist from Indonesia living and working in Berlin Weißensee. He shares two passions, Art and Cooking. These two artistic universes come together in Daniel Parasaudi's work as an original exploration of the concepts of colors, shapes and story telling. His work, originally developped as Street Art, refers to indonesian culture, political and social issues as well as personnal life experience.
